FATHER: Not the Allen C. Hodges who purchased property in Livingston Co., MI before 1840. The 1840 census fits. Not there in 1850.
I found the probate record for Allen C. Hodges b. 1811 which names his children, no son Allen is included.
CENSUS: Have not found Allen no Andrew J. Hodge in 1850 census. That may be key.
